I'm looking at your guitar and music production lessons.
I have been playing guitar for 35 years, and am fairly decent. I have some real gaps in my abilities but can generally play.
But the twist is that I've also over time been putting together a real studio and would like to write and record for the first time in several years. I own a lot of mid-to-high-end gear, and have purchased every instrument that would plug the gaps to keep me from having any limitations. For instance, I own 18 guitars, most for specific purposes, as well as three basses, a ukelele, a mandolin, a mandolin guitar, a reasonably capable (but dated) keyboard, and a top of the line Roland V-Drums set that I've added a number of extra pieces to. I've also recently moved from the approach of having an amp with effects built in to having a clean one with a pedal setup. I've also bought some good recording equipment and have started to learn Ableton (after having a bit of skill in Audition and ProTools).
The best part about tutoring for me is working with students one-on-one and knowing that I played a part in their academic success. The most frustrating part of tutoring — finding new students, dealing with marketing, billing clients, etc. Wyzant solves those problems and lets me focus on what I do best — teaching!
Over the last seven years we’ve built the largest and most trusted tutoring marketplace on the web. With a new student lead posted every minute, Wyzant eliminates the need to be listed on multiple sites.
On average, our fee is 25%, compared to the 60-80% that traditional tutoring companies and franchises take.
You don’t have to worry about marketing, collecting payment, or unqualified leads on Wyzant. We take care of all the details so you can focus on tutoring!
