According to the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) website, any person convicted of a DUI alcohol violation will be “Ignition Interlock restricted”. This means you must not drive any vehicle, including motorcycles, without an Ignition Interlock Device installed. If you are under 21 at the time of arrest, you will be Interlock restricted for three (3) years; if 21 and older, it is for 18 months.
